Proceeded to make and drink caffeine, followed by passing out on the lounge chair outside in the sun.
Just one of those days… I was debating on whether to review this or not because this tea is extinct. Or almost. I might have some of the last. This was one of the first loose leaf teas I picked up, waaaaaaay back when I picked up my first teapot at Teavana (the other was Body & Mind). At the time I didn’t understand how far a good black goes and bought a pound or some overkill amount of it. Looks like it’s been replaced with something called Himalayan Splendor. I suppose I’ll review Majestic just for comparison. I’ll have to buy some Splendor later just to see how much more splendiforous it is compared to how majestic this one is.
Dry: Lighter black tea smell.
Brewing: Wabi Sabi Teapot, 1tsp/8oz ratio, 212*, 2min
Aroma: Pretty straight black tea with almost a floral note.
Flavor: Another straight-forward black tea. Tastes like it smells. Lighter tasting than Teatulia’s though. Delicate, almost floral. Slightly roasted but not honeyed. Alllllmost has a sort of green vegetal taste to it. It’s a good everyday tea and has enough flavor to stand subtly on its own. Also blends well with others because it’s unobtrusive. Good with milk and/or honey. Easy to oversteep though, which results in serious bitter tea face.

Cost per Cup: Priceless? Dead tea is dead and is now limited edition!

Tea Score: 80 – Good flavor, nice aroma, pretty leaves
Cupboard Score: 65 – Even if this tea wasn’t extinct, it’d be nice to have it around but there are other blacks I like better.
