Not enough tea in the world for that one. But enough about my holidays. I hope all of you are having a great holiday season, drinking all sorts of tea and chilling with family and friends. With a little bit of a break today, I’m totally jumping on the chance to continue with the blog. Tea Forte’s Honey Yuzu is up! <\/p>\n

I have no idea what a yuzu is though, so let’s check that out. Cause knowledge is power!<\/p>\n

“The yuzu<\/strong><\/em> (Citrus ichangensis<\/a> \u00d7 C. reticulata<\/a><\/em>, formerly C. junos<\/em> Siebold ex. Tanaka; Japanese<\/a> \u30e6\u30ba<\/a>, \u67da<\/a>, \u67da\u5b50<\/a> (yuzu<\/em>); \uc720\uc790<\/a> (yuja<\/em>) in Korean<\/a>; from Chinese<\/a> \u67da\u5b50<\/a>, y\u00f2uzi<\/em>) is a citrus<\/a> fruit<\/a> and plant originating in East Asia<\/a>. It is believed to be a hybrid of sour mandarin<\/a> and Ichang papeda<\/a>. The fruit looks a bit like a very small grapefruit<\/a> with an uneven skin, and can be either yellow or green depending on the degree of ripeness. Yuzu<\/em> fruits, which are very aromatic, typically range between 5.5 and 7.5\u00a0cm in diameter, but can be as large as a grapefruit (up to 10\u00a0cm or larger).” – Wikipedia<\/p>\n

Okay then.<\/p>\n

Dry<\/strong>: Smells like honey and a slight citrus note. That must be the yuzu. Not too much of a surprise.<\/p>\n

Brewing<\/strong>: Standard Tea Bag, 1 bag\/8oz, “almost boiling”, 4min (since the first one was a bit weak at 3min)<\/p>\n

Aroma<\/strong>: Not too aromatic. A bit citrusy.<\/p>\n

Flavor<\/strong>: Meh. An unimpressive display of honey and citrus. It’s not awful. Just nothing special.<\/p>\n
